7 Months!

Carsen turned 7 months on the 10th. He is so much fun and coming up with new funny things everyday. I love how he just jabbers, especially in the morning when he wakes up, it is so cute.
He is such a good boy. We love to watch him grow and learn new things every day.
(Our computer died so I can't get the pictures I wanted to post on this off the computer till we get the new part. So sad. I will just put a few from the last few days on here and put the rest later.)
Here are a few new things with Carsen:
~He is so so close to getting a tooth!
~His new sound besides da da da that he like to make is Goys Goys Goys. It is hilarious.
~He just started liking to sleep on his tummy.
~He loves to be outside
~He loves people. He is all smiles and just a little ham :)
~He loves loves loves his toy basket.
~He has just started to really like baby food and always wants what we are eating
~He rolls like crazy now
~He loves biter biscuits!!
~He loves to sit in a high chair at restraunts and pound on the table.
~He scratches everything to feel it and figure out the textures. Cracks me up
~He just stares at his hands while he hold them up in the air and opens and closes them. I wish I knew what he is thinking. He's so funny!
~He thinks it is pretty fun to ride like a big boy in his stroller.
~He laughs when I sneeze.
~He loves to try to grab the water when it comes out of the spout in the tub.
~He still loves to give kisses. So cute
~He still loves to pound on the keyboard
~He can now get his toes in his mouth and likes to suck on them after a bath :)
~He is mesmerized by this baby dvd that we got from the library.
~He loves the theme song to Word World! (thanks Korbin!!) It is such a cute show
~He love to share our water and especially our Popsicles. (don't worry they are all fruit)
And last but not least....
~He has this new funny thing that he does when he wants something. It is hard to explain but he gets really big eyes, opes his mouth wide but purses his lips and flails his arms while opening and closing his hands. I can't help but laugh every time he does it.

There are so many things, I could go one forever but I will spare you all the novel. :)
I feel so blessed to be this sweet little man's mommy.
We love you Carsen.

Crinkle Blocks

Sorry this one is a little late!
If you are like me you have a bunch of plastic grocery bags at your house and not many uses for them besides garbage.
Well.... after Carsen found the sacks that had groceries in them sitting next to him in the car. He LOVES to shake and crinkle them and make noise. Since that is not real safe to give them just the sack I made this little fabric cube from the tutorial I found HERE . But I just put plastic bags in the block instead of the batting. (Thanks for the idea Helga) He loves the sound it makes and it is safe for him to play with.
What a fun, cheap toy to make.
P.S. I got the fabric from Walmart where they have the precut little sections of fabric for 1$
and don't forget to keep your scraps.....for more projects to come :) Happy Sewing!

My Guys!

I sure love these two!! Carsen has so much fun with his daddy. He now gets sad when Keith leaves and is really happy when Keith gets home!

It is so cute to see these two play. Keith has so much to be busy with but is so good to try to make time every day to play with Carsen. I feel very blessed to have these two in my life.

This was Carsen's first time on anyone's shoulders. He didn't really know what to think at first, but then loved it because he could grab Keith's hair! :)

P.S. Keith looks a little tired don't ya think. Poor guy!

What a great daddy you are. Thanks for working so hard! Love you

lil' kiddo sleep sack

Most all you moms out there have at some point experienced that rush of terrified adrenaline when you go to check on your baby and they have pulled the blanket over their face. I decided after I found him like that for every nap and at night for 2 days straight that I needed to have something safer. So, I was looking into buying one of those sleepsac's when I decided that I would try my hand at making one, since I had a few extra fleece blankets lying around that never get used so I bought a zipper and found this tutorial HERE and it was not hard at all! I was really surprised how simple it was and really cheap. (Total cost was 3.85 for the zipper!!!)
Carsen really likes it and it puts my mind at ease!!
Happy sewing :)

And the winner is......

Yay for sleep!!

Carsen is officially sleeping through the night!! It has been 4 consecutive nights of him sleeping 11 hours straight! Wahoo!! Thanks Tiff for recommending the best book ever ~the sleepeasy solution~ I highly recommend this book, it is amazing. He picked up a routine in only 2 days!! I have to thank Keith for giving me the nudge to teach him how to sleep well and for helping us get there (the first night was hard on me). I am so proud of Carsen, what a good boy! I know that to just now be sleeping through the night at 6 months old isn't that great to some people, but I am so happy that he has done so well. I love my little man!!
