Carsen's 1st Birthday!

Carsen's birthday was August 10th but we spread it out over a few days. It was so much fun! On the Saturday before his birthday(aug 7th) we had a part for him with both our families. We found out 2 days before that my brother, sis in law and their kids were coming into town from Colorado that weekend and they were going to be there for Carsen's party! We were so excited to have all of our family there to celebrate with us! We love you all!!

Planning his party was so fun, even though I forgot about ice cream! who does that? ha ha oh well! We had the party at Carsen's Grandma and Grandpa T's house. Thanks so much! It was perfect!!
The cakes were AWESOME! Carsen's Grandma B made him the traditional Carousel cake that they always make for the 1st birthday. He loved it. Thanks!!

I love to have a theme to a party, so we made it a PLAYSKOOL party! He absolutely loves his playskool toys (Ball popper, little ball snail, ball spinner....and anything to do with a ball!! )
We had all a really great dinner!! Thanks to everyone who made the effort to come and brought food and helped make the party awesome!! We used all the bright colors that playskool has and we had a fun pinata! Carsen has 10 cousins and all but one of them are older than he is, so we thought it would be fun to have something fun that they would like too! Carsen loves all of his cousins. He loves to watch them run around and I'm sure it will not be to much longer until he is doing that as well. We wiss we got to be around them all more! He was also so happy to see his Buddy Brecklyn! We miss you guys! We all had lots of fun and I am so happy that the weather got better just in time!! :)

We played and hung out with family all weekend and then on his actual birthday we were back up in Logan and Brecklyn and Tiff came to play for the day and Daddy took part of the day off to play. Then we had a little friends birthday party over at the church bowery. It was so much fun to have all the little kiddos there and all our friends! Thanks to everyone who made it such a fun time!

I can't believe how much Carsen is learning every day.
Some of his new things are:
~He is getting really good at baby signs (milk, more, all done, drink)
~He plays peekaboo all the time! so cute!
~He is a chatterbox
~He has taken a few steps but still prefers the mogley crawl
~He LOVES Eggs and blueberries for breakfast!
~He loves playing in any form of water
~He loved going on a boat ride (thanks Bop-pa)
~He loves to swing!!
~He loves to push any kind of button
~He blows kisses
~He dances to music all the time! so cute!
~He loves to give mommy and daddy kisses
~He still gives soft head butts as loves
~He has 8 teeth now
~He went camping for the first time and did SO good!
~He loves to be outside
~He loves to throw bread to the ducks
~He is still taking 2 naps
~He doesn't like cow's milk
~He smiles at EVERYONE! I love it!

Oh there are so many things that I could go on forever about! I love love love this little man!
He is growing up so fast! Mommy loves you Carsen!

1st Haircut!

Carsen got his very 1st haircut on his 11 month birthday. He did really well. Here are a few before, during and after pictures. I sure do love this little man!!

Happy Birthday Carsen!

Wow I can't believe Carsen is 1 year old today! Time flies when you are having fun!! I have lots of pictures to post for his birthday but I haven't gotten them downloaded yet. stay tuned...they are pretty cute :)

Best Buddies!

Carsen and Brecklyn are best little buddies! Carsen is 6 weeks older than Brecklyn and they have been pretty unseperable ever since. Brecklyn just moved about an hour and a half away, and from being right across the street from us for the last 2 years and being friends for about 3 years, we miss Tiff, Whit and Brecklyn so much but are so so excited for them with their new job and house and life :) Here are some pictures of Carsen and Brecklyn just being buddies! So cute!!
They love to share everything, chase each other around, talk their own little language to each other, dance to music, swim wether it is in the tub or the pool they love swimmin! They play so well together, teach each other things, get into trouble together and wave to each other and give each other hugs all the time. They definitely know who each other are!







we were trying to pack up the house for the move and this kept them contained for a few minutes :)

11 Months!

I have to hurry up and get his 11 month one on here before his birthday!
Carsen was 11 months on july 10th. I can't believe how fast time goes! Everyone always said that to me before I had him and that they grow up so fast! It is SO TRUE! I don't think a year has ever gone by so fast in my entire life! Carsen has been learning so many things this last month and is growing like crazy!! He is getting so tall now that he can reach things on the edge of the bathroom counter. AHHH! Oh... another thing that happened last month that I forgot to write about is that Carsen loves to sit in the sink in the bathroom in front of the mirror while I am getting ready. One of those days I saw that he was grabbing at a hair that had gotten in his mouth so I just hurried and set my flat iron down (which I always make sure that I put it on the complete opposite side of the counter.) This time I set it down without thinking and he is so fast now that he grabbed it and burnt 2 of his little fingers. I felt terrible!! Poor boy! Luckily everything healed up great!!

Carsen also got his first haircut (thanks Miss.) Pics on that to come!!! Hilarious!
It is such an amazing experience to watch him learn new things everyday. We am so blessed to have him in our family.
I love how he is happy almost all the time!! He is so funny and laughs at himself when we laugh.

Here are some of the new things about Carsen:
~ He has figured out how to click his tongue and does it all the time! so cute
~He absolutely loves being in the water!
~He loves to drink from Daddy's water bottle
~He loves his ball popper!!
~he loves pretty much any ball and he will try to find a hard surface so that it will bounce better or roll farther or make more noise. He is so funny!
~He loves Ramen noodles and mac and cheese
~He loves rice, and any kind of beans
~He loves to swing and be outside
~He is very into sharing everything that he is eating and will even try to share his binky with mommy and daddy :)
~He loves to clap
~He knows some sign language
~He likes to scream at the top of his lungs just so he can hear himself
~He loves popsicles and ice cream :)
~Loves to drink water but does not love juice
~LOVES blueberries! So funny to watch how fast he will eat them.
~Loves to give hugs, kisses and SQUEEZES!!
~Loves music and all things that make noise
~He doesn't like to crawl on his knees so he crawl like Mogley now. hilarious....video to come!!
~He loves when daddy comes home!
~Love love loves his daddy!!
~He is a Momma's boy! (so sweet)
~He loves to be around people and loves to watch them :)
~Would rather play with the kitties than the dogs.
~He is so close to walking. He loves to walk with the little sit and stand walker thing
~He has figured out how to stand and open the cupboards and then let the door bang closed. He loves doing this over and over and over :) poor neighbors!
~He loves to ride in his stroller
~He now plays peekaboo with the shower curtain, so cute!
~He loves to try to eat paper
~He LOVES the vacuum!! He will chase it everywhere, so funny!!
~He loves to wallow in the blankets on my bed!
~He is a blankie boy...he loves to rub his face on his favorite blankie
~He is so proud that he can now unravel the toilet paper
~He thinks it is pretty cool to climb the stairs.
~He has 4 teeth now and a few more getting ready to break through!
~He loves lights
~He loves buttons and always uses just his little pointer finger to poke at them, so cute!
~He still loves to give love head buts! it is so sweet
~He loves to shut any and every door. especially the fridge! thanks buddy!
So many things to love about this little man! I can't believe he is almost 1 !!!!
