Fun on the Farm

Back in the 1st week of March we went out to the Aggie farm with our friends up here in Logan. One of our friends (that are also in our ward...we are really lucky to have such good people around us!) does a lot of work for the Aggie farm since he is in the Agricultural program up here in school and deals a lot with the farming aspect of it.
Their little family is just the sweetest!!! I feel so blessed to have gotten to know this wonderful little Sorensen family. What great examples they are to me and they are ALWAYS positive!! They just graduated and moved down to central Utah. WE MISS THEM!!!
Anyway we got to do some fun things with them before we left (Carsen and Brylee are such cute little friends) and they took us out to see the animals. There were brand new little lambs that were like 1-2 days old and they and the kids just followed each other around. so cute!
They saw cows and horses and this sweet little kitty. (anyone who knows me knows that I have a huge soft spot for kitties and I think Carsen is following right after me in that aspect! =)
So many of our friends have moved away from Logan because they are done with school. We are so sad and miss them everyday! We only have til December left but it feels so lonely with out all our friends here. Our friends are like our family since we are away from home.
It has been so rainy here and I didn't think to bring shoes to get muddy so Cole let me borrow his...thanks Cole!!! We had such a great time with everyone (Allison, Raquel, Heather, Cole, Brylee, Lilly,Housten, (heather and cole's nephew who by the way is the sweetest little guy and totally a true cowboy at only 4! Ashley, Anna, and James.) Thanks everyone! We miss you!

Swimming lessons

Back in January (which is like my least favorite month, especially up here in Logan, since there is just not much to look forward to and that is when is it always at it's coldest and darkest days up here) I was looking for something for Carsen and I to do while Keith was busy with school and work and church stuff. I had heard about Mommy and Me swim lessons up at USU at the HPER from a friend and thought it might be fun. It was on Thursday nights and that was perfect because Keith has bishopric visits that night and it would keep us busy. I was really happy that Carsen enjoyed them so much and it was great since it was just one on one with the instructor. She was very sweet and Carsen loved her! (her name is Miss Heather)
He has gotten SO comfortable in the water and loves it which in turn means I LOVE IT!!! I have to admit it was partially selfish....I love being in the pool! It is like therapy for me, I feel so at home in the water :)
The lessons went for 5 weeks once a week. It was kind of a bit of work to get us dressed, get there, get all cleaned up and get home but SOOO worth it!
Carsen Learned to not be afraid of jumping in the water, how to back float, swim with "big arms", Blow bubbles and get more comfortable with getting under the water. I also got a class on CPR and rescue breathing, which is always good to know!
On the second to last class I had Keith come with me since he didn't have visits that night and so he could get in the pool with him so that I could take some pictures to remember it by :) What a good daddy!! My next goal is to get Keith in swim lessons! He is not very comfortable in the water.
We can't wait for the summer to be able to get out and go swimming lots more!

Playing "it's raining, it's pouring" while getting his head wet
He loved to throw this little whale that miss Heather had
Kick, kick, kick!!! He would do it all by himself!! Good boy!!
He loved miss Heather
"just keep swimming...just keep swimming" :)
Swimming with "big arms"

He would jump from this little platform thing they had in the pool. It was so cool!
Blowing bubbles!! He loved that part!
cute boy!Getting ready to go under the water (you are supposed to blow in their face to get them to take a big breath before they go under)
Under the water!

High Fives!! Way to go buddy!!
Jumping to daddy
He loves to jump off the side of the pool!
Love you little man!!

Peachees!!!

(you might want to turn the sound of the music on the blog off, just scroll down first)

Carsen loves peaches more than anyone else I know but is on the picky side of what kind he likes :) He only wants Nama andBoppa's peachees. He scarfs them and can down about 1/3 of the big bottles in one sitting (and you can see that in the video) Thanks Nama and Boppa for the peachees, we can't wait to bottle some more this year! Love you

Splash Splash Splash!!

This video is from November but I couldn't ever get it to load til now. I love these 2!! Keith is usually the one to give Carsen a bath at night while I clean up and get his bed time stuff set out so we can do our little bid time routine together. Plus it gives them a little time just them which I think Carsen loves! He loves his daddy and has so much fun with him.

FHE finger painting!

Don't worry....It is pudding!!! We thought he would have a blast finger painting in the tub for a fun FHE activity....... We were wrong! I think he liked it for about 30 seconds when he tasted the first bite and then didn't understand that it was supposed to be fun. :) ha ha. This is about the only picture we got of him before he was sobbing :( I guess we will try it again when he is a little older!
