Back in January (which is like my least favorite month, especially up here in Logan, since there is just not much to look forward to and that is when is it always at it's coldest and darkest days up here) I was looking for something for Carsen and I to do while Keith was busy with school and work and church stuff. I had heard about Mommy and Me swim lessons up at USU at the HPER from a friend and thought it might be fun. It was on Thursday nights and that was perfect because Keith has bishopric visits that night and it would keep us busy. I was really happy that Carsen enjoyed them so much and it was great since it was just one on one with the instructor. She was very sweet and Carsen loved her! (her name is Miss Heather)
He has gotten SO comfortable in the water and loves it which in turn means I LOVE IT!!! I have to admit it was partially selfish....I love being in the pool! It is like therapy for me, I feel so at home in the water :)
The lessons went for 5 weeks once a week. It was kind of a bit of work to get us dressed, get there, get all cleaned up and get home but SOOO worth it!
Carsen Learned to not be afraid of jumping in the water, how to back float, swim with "big arms", Blow bubbles and get more comfortable with getting under the water. I also got a class on CPR and rescue breathing, which is always good to know!
On the second to last class I had Keith come with me since he didn't have visits that night and so he could get in the pool with him so that I could take some pictures to remember it by :) What a good daddy!! My next goal is to get Keith in swim lessons! He is not very comfortable in the water.
We can't wait for the summer to be able to get out and go swimming lots more!

Playing "it's raining, it's pouring" while getting his head wet

He loved to throw this little whale that miss Heather had

Kick, kick, kick!!! He would do it all by himself!! Good boy!!

He loved miss Heather

"just keep swimming...just keep swimming" :)

Swimming with "big arms"

He would jump from this little platform thing they had in the pool. It was so cool!

Blowing bubbles!! He loved that part!

cute boy!

Getting ready to go under the water (you are supposed to blow in their face to get them to take a big breath before they go under)

Under the water!

High Fives!! Way to go buddy!!

Jumping to daddy

He loves to jump off the side of the pool!

Love you little man!!

What a fun thing to do! He is such a cute boy! I can't believe how big he is. Time flies.
Hey that looks like a bunch of fun. I need to get Brylee into something like that. She has always loved the water but lately seams to be afraid of it a little..:(
