Baby update!

So we went to our dr. appt this last thursday and we had quite a few surprises come up... The first being that my blood pressure jumped by more than 20 points (in only a week!) on both top and bottom numbers, which then led to the next surprise that the doctor said that he was concerned about the BP and my swelling, so he said that he would watch it for one more week just to see if it would go down at all, and if it didn't then he would plan to start me this next weekend. AHHHHHH!!! I have not prepared myself for this soon! The doc said that everything still looks good with the baby and that I am 50% effaced and dilated to a 2. Keith could not be more excited, and I am getting more and more nervous by the minute. I really thought I would be more calm than I am, but I am just hoping that the baby has grown enough and is not too tiny and too early....And the worrying begins! :) I just need to get my bag packed. So I thought I might send a question out to everyone of any suggestions on what to make sure that I don't forget, or any other hospital must haves. Let me know what has worked best for you! Thanks

37 weeks....crazy that this could be my last week!

Oh my goodness, I can't believe it's almost that time! Good luck! I have no advice on what to remember for the hospital, but if you could pass that list on to me, I'd greatly appreciate it :)

So exciting. . .good luck with everything! I remember that all I wanted in the hospital was CHAPSTICK(: I have had my last 2 babies at 37 weeks and they were both healthy. I know how worrisome it can be though. I can't wait to meet him! Let us know if you are up for visitors. . .I want to bring your shower gift to him. Sorry I didn't make it to your shower. It was Jed's birthday and I was on my way home from girls camp.): Wonder who he will look like??(: YAY! So SOON(:

I had Autumn at 37 weeks.. I hope everything goes alright. Its a exciting time. Just enjoy it while you can. They grow up so fast. My reccommendation is take a shower before you go to the hospital & get all cleaned up because its not the same at the hospital. Good luck & keep us posted.

I would also take some nightgowns, underwear, & some smelly lotion:)

Well like many others, I had Lia at 37 weeks, things went well, she just had to be on oxygen for a bit, but really everything was great. I would take a hoodie or something to wear over your pretty pink nursing gown. I would put it on when people came to visit, it made me a little more comfortable. Good luck it is the best experience ever, relax and enjoy the journey.

Something to entertain you while waiting after being induced. Something you really like, or can focus on when you do feel any pain. I packed pajamas but only used them once to leave my room for the lactation class they do. How exciting that this will be soon. I was practically hysterical the night before I got induced I was so scared, but it really wasn't bad. And I am a WIMP! So I hope you won't be so scared and will be able to enjoy the whole miracle of everything!!!
