Baby update!

So we went to our dr. appt this last thursday and we had quite a few surprises come up... The first being that my blood pressure jumped by more than 20 points (in only a week!) on both top and bottom numbers, which then led to the next surprise that the doctor said that he was concerned about the BP and my swelling, so he said that he would watch it for one more week just to see if it would go down at all, and if it didn't then he would plan to start me this next weekend. AHHHHHH!!! I have not prepared myself for this soon! The doc said that everything still looks good with the baby and that I am 50% effaced and dilated to a 2. Keith could not be more excited, and I am getting more and more nervous by the minute. I really thought I would be more calm than I am, but I am just hoping that the baby has grown enough and is not too tiny and too early....And the worrying begins! :) I just need to get my bag packed. So I thought I might send a question out to everyone of any suggestions on what to make sure that I don't forget, or any other hospital must haves. Let me know what has worked best for you! Thanks

37 weeks....crazy that this could be my last week!

Showers!!!

Here is his newest picture at 36 weeks!
(the blurb at the bottom is his hand! he always has it up)

I wanted to send a huge thank you out to everyone who gave me showers, and who came to them!!! Thank you so much for all your time, effort and generosity!!! It was so fun to see everyone. We are so blessed with such great family and friends. I can't even begin to tell you all how much you all mean to us at this exciting time!! It was so much fun to be able to have all my family together on the weekend of the 11th! I always wondered how we would all be when we grew up and had kids of our own, and I have to say that I am so happy the way things turned out and how lucky I am to be a part of it! Good job mom and dad! I love seeing all the kids together. It makes me truly realize how lucky our little guy is to be the 9th grandkid and have so many sweet and loving little cousins to be examples to him. I know I am biased, but they are just the best! Thanks for a awesome weekend!

Changes!

We have had a couple of busy and exciting weeks. We finished the Nursery for the most part, minus a few pictures on the wall and shelf decorations, but we are so excited to see things coming together. It is amazing to me how fast these last weeks are going and it is bound to go even faster! We went to our last dr. appt and he is growing and getting big, he is measuring about 3 1/2 pounds. We can't wait to go to the next appt. to see the baby again! We are so excited.

So I told you all that Keith was just put in the Elder's quorum presidency like maybe 2 months ago, well....another thing that has kept us busy is more changes..... They just called him into the Bishopric last week. This came as a pretty big shock, (he loved his calling in elder's quorum) but a good one :) We found out 2 days before, and things have been pretty buys ever since. We feel so blessed to be in such a great ward. To spare filling a whole page with countless reasons why I love my man I will just say that I can't begin to explain how grateful I am for a wonderful husband and soon to be daddy. Keith, thank you for being exactly who you are...I love you and am proud of you!

Thank you to everyone who came up to support Keith, it meant the world to both of us to have our families there. A big thank you to Brinsen, Maci, Tyler and Korbin for writing such cute window welcome notes to the baby! We love them and we love you all! I always love having everyone up for dinner (thanks to everyone for bringing dinner things to make it great!) Always know that you are all welcome anytime!

And last but not least....Happy Birthday Tyler! big 3 we love you!

Here are some before/during, and after photos. I forgot to take pictures of the complete before. oops...oh well

Weekends of fun!

Time has started to go by pretty fast these last couple weeks, and I have been really bad at taking pictures of all that we have been doing...oops! Well, mother's day was really nice! We spent time just hanging out and relaxing with my family. (Keith's Mom and Dad were out of town, so we celebrated later in the month) The weekend started with Keith and I going and getting our hair done on Saturday, I apparently picked the right day to do it because I was greeted at the salon with chocolate covered strawberries and sparkling cider. It was a really nice thing that the salon was doing for all the mom's. Then we had a dutch oven BBQ at my Parent's house (good work dad!)It was really nice to get together. And my sweet Mom and Dad gave me this really cute pregnant Willow Tree figurine (thanks again, I love it!) Then Keith gave me a pedicure (he is actually really good at them!) and a gift certificate! You are so good to me honey, I love you so much!!

This is all I can see of my feet when I look straight down, funny huh!

Memorial Day weekend was kinda busy, but really fun! We went down to a baby doctor's appt. He is 2 1/2 ponds and growing! We got to see him yawn on the ultrasound! He is so cute!:) We went to dinner with Keith's Parents at Senora Grill which is really yummy by the way, and just kinda relaxed the rest of the night. The next morning my mom and I decided to go garage saleing. Thanks for going with me Mom it was fun! Then later that night we went up to South Fork canyon for Kay's Birthday and then went back up the canyon the next night to stay over. It was really fun! We stayed in my parent's trailer, which I have to say that I think I slept better on the harder bed than I have in a while.... It is funny how pregnancy makes things really comfy that were not very comfy before! The harder surface was just really nice for some reason!

Then we decided to make the trek down to IKEA! It is such a fun store! I think we got lost like 2 or 3 times! thank goodness for cell phones! I really wish it was a little closer, they have such great stuff and it is so fun to just go browse. Anyway, so we got the baby's dresser and some really cute shelves. Since that weekend we have been putting the baby's room together piece by piece.

Luke's 1st birthday party was last week. He was really cute digging into his first taste of sugar EVER!!! He loved every minute! Thanks Sarah and Doug for letting us be there, it was really fun.

Also, Maci had a dance recital! I only have a picture of her before she got in her costumes, but you can see all the pictures of all my nieces and nephews cute moments on the 2 new sites that I have added on my friends and fam list! I love them all so much and am so proud of all of them! I only wish I could be there more, I hate missing seeing the recitals, the games, the first braces (congrats Easton!) and try to help when needed or when someone gets hurt (glad you are doing better Ethan!). They are all so sweet. I can't wait for our little guy to be here to meet them!

We spent this last weekend in baby get ready classes, painting and me being sick with some sort of crappy chest cold! The room is looking so good! I think it is officially our favorite room in the house. I will get pictures posted as soon as it is done!
So many fun and exciting things to look forward to. I can't believe how much I love this little man already! I really do think your heart grows bigger just to get all the extra love in!

Thanks to everyone that has helped us to have such a great month! We love you all!!

She was so stinkin' excited to have "ex-tent-ions!" (as she says)

The home front

So I know I said that I would be better about posting every week with pictures, i'm really trying to be better, but the weeks just fly by! Anyway, so here is the quick version of what we have been up to....

Last week Keith got to go with Joel, my dad, and a couple of other guys down to Moab. I need to get some of the pictures of the trip from joel and i can post them. He had so much fun even though he wrecked quite a few times and has quite a few new wounds (that he is pretty proud of by the way!) While he was gone I spent a couple days down in Pleasant View just hanging out and relaxing....it was so nice! This last weekend Keith replaced the exhaust manifold (thanks to Whit and Adam for the help) on the Jeep so that it would finally pass inspection! yay! It has been cracked for at least a year or more, but they passed it last year, so why fix what they don't make you, right? It definitely sounds so much better now.

Saturday night Keith and Whit tried to "Clean the kitchen sink" at Angie's diner. It is quite the tradition up here in Logan I hear. They did really well, with just a little help from the baked potato skin that they filled full! It's all good! they still got the bumper sticker :)

I have started to swell in my feet and ankles enough that they are now wanting me to wear those nice thigh high granny circulation tights. They are really hot and closed toe so I have yet to figure out how to stay cool and wear capri's and sandles, but they do help so i guess it is worth it. On friday, my foot was a pretty shade of purple, so the doctor wanted them to do an ultrasound on my leg....good news is no blood clot...bad news is my veins are apparently 4x the size they should be..that is what the pretty tights are for! I have my next doctor's appt tomorrow so we'll see how everything is then and go from there.

I still don't know how to get the pictures off the CD, so if anyone knows how I would love to learn.

The Belly!!

Ok, so I finally decided to bite the bullet and just take a picture. This is somewhere between the 24-25 week mark. I kinda dread seeing pictures of myself, but I figure that this is the only time that I have had that I can actually look at myself and laugh at how big I am getting rather than just feel crappy about it, and know that it is for a really good reason! Plus Tiff and Whit made me feel guilty that I wasn't documenting these memories. Just kiddin', it is a really great idea! I am going to try to take a picture every week from here on to see the progress. I have yet to figure out how to get the pictures of the baby off the disc and onto the computer. If anyone can give me any hints or great ideas that would be awesome! The ultrasound was so cool. It was so neat to be able to see him in 3D. He is pretty dang cute!

He has been moving a ton lately, it is so cool to be able to feel him. He and Keith play this game every morning to wake me up.... He is really active first thing in the morning (just like his dad!) so he will start kicking or rolling or whatever he does and then when Keith wakes up and he can feel him, Keith will lightly poke at the baby and the baby will kick back....that will usually wake me up after just a little while and I can't be mad at getting woken up because it is just too dang cute! I love my guys!
