4 months!!!

I am a little late on this one but wow that went fast! It seems like I was just writing his 3 month update. His 4 month birthday was on the 10th.
Well, we took him in for his 4 month check up and he is growing great, and so so fast!
His newest stats are:
Height~ 26 in ~ 90th percentile
Weight~ 17 lbs 7 oz ~ 95th percentile
yep definitely feeding him cream!!

He is so chubby and so dang cute! ( I am kinda biased though!)

I have tried to get pictures of some of the new things he has been doing...
This is how he spends most of his days. Either blowing spit bubbles, drooling or with his hands in his mouth.

loves his teether!!! (no teeth yet but we're watching for them!)

His new thing is to bite and suck on a washcloth in the tub....don't worry it is a clean one! :)

We gave him his very first rice cereal on Saturday. As you can tell he was a little grossed out by it. but he is really getting the hang of it now.

This is kind of a long video but I thought it was hilarious! he is so talkative now and had to keep telling us his story even though he had the hiccups!

I love this little man so much!!! He makes life so much more fun. I never thought I would be so entertained by all the new little things he does!I love you sweet boy!!

Hand and Foot prints!!!

Ok girls!!! Sorry it has taken so long to get this on here!!! So here is the info.... I only have one favor to ask.... If you go in please let them know my name and that I referred you, that way I can get points for the referral program! Thanks a bunch!! I got them done at A Child's touch. It is just here in Logan by the Walmart. They do a great job, you can do just one hand and one foot or both or just a hand for like an ornament or something. They do lots of different colors and shapes! It is so dang cute. You can call and make an appointment or just walk in. Oh and if you wouldn't mind...Let me know if you do go so then I can keep track of the referrals too! I can't wait to see everyone's!!

P.S. Just so you know it takes a few weeks to get them back.

Happy Birthday Keith!

Keith's birthday always seems to be so busy with it being so close to Thanksgiving, so this year Keith was out of town for interview stuff the few days before his birthday and on his actual birthday (Sunday the 22nd) he ended up speaking in church and was pretty busy with stuff so we didn't get to see much of him that day. Tiff has a birthday the day before Keith so Whit made dinner that night (thanks Whit and Tiff!) Monday night Carsen and I took Keith out to dinner for his birthday to Texas Roadhouse. It was really yummy but I think the best part was definitely when Keith had to get up on the birthday saddle and be sung to! It was hilarious and he seemed to enjoy the attention! ha ha

Carsen and I made Keith a cake and we did presents and cake with just us this year. It was quite and small and I was the only one singing happy birthday, but it was still fun! We did all the family birthday stuff at Thanksgiving. Thanks to everyone!!
Happy Birthday honey! I love you so much!

I took Carsen to this place up here that does these really cute ceramic hand and foot prints. This was his gift to his daddy! SOOO cute!!

Useless organ

Most everyone knows, but just in case you hadn't heard yet...I had to have my Gall Bladder removed a little over a week ago. Who needs a gall bladder anyway :) So I really hadn't paid much attention to the small stomach aches that I had every once in a while. I just figured something I ate had not set right and then 2 Sundays ago after dinner I felt like I was starting to get heartburn but it wouldn't go away with anything I tried, in fact it got worse! After a few hours of the pain getting worse and worse I decided to go to the ER around midnight. I got to drive myself there because Keith had to stay with Carsen until my mom (who we called at around 11:30, sorry mom. Thank you again!) got there so Keith could come to the ER. I thought I would be ok to drive home, turns out after they gave me an IV medicine to help with the pain, I was really loopy. Good thing I didn't try to drive.
Anyway, they did an ultrasound and told me that I had a very infected gall bladder and that it was full of stones. Nice huh. They referred me to a surgeon and sent me home. I ended up getting the surgery done on Thursday and things luckily went well. I am recovering well and just want to thank everyone for coming up to help me and helping with Carsen so I could rest and get better. Also thank you to everyone who help make us meals. It was so nice not to worry about that! Thanks again
My pretty flowers from Keith

I love this one!!!

So much fun to get him to smile!

After I had the surgery I wasn't able to hold Carsen (he likes to put a knee right on a incision) like I usually do, so he got introduced to the exersaucer and the jumper! He has been such a good and patient boy. He has really enjoyed being upright and getting a new view of everything. I love to see him growing and getting excited about all the new things he gets to do. Carsen you make our lives so much fun. we love you!
I love this cute face

Some of the many things we love about Carsen:
~He will now kick and splash in the tub, he loves the water
~He gives us the biggest smiles now and sometimes gets shy
~He is such a snuggler, I absolutely love when he falls asleep in my arms
~He has figured out how to make sounds with spit bubbles, so funny
~He is such a sweet patient boy and is always so good when we take him in the car or go to church or out to eat. What a dream baby!
~ I love love love that cute sucking noise that he makes with his binky in
~ When he is really comfortable and falling asleep he will let out a big sigh, so cute
~He sneezes just like his daddy....Yells it out and then lets it loose and all the limbs and head have to get in on the action. Keith says that it makes the sneeze even better. They crack me up
~He is such a drooly boy right now and loves to chew on his hands!
We love you so much Carsen. You make our lives so much better!!!

Lastly, I thought I would share this saying that I say on my friends blog (thanks Carrie!) It is such a great saying, and really makes you look at things differently and with more optimism, which we could all use some of!

"How do you think of your children? On any given day, would you say your children are a blessing or a burden? Here is a challenge to you…How are you?”…“How is the baby?”…“How are your kids?”… We all hear these questions every day. Do you know a mom who always answers something like this: “Well, I haven’t killed my 2-year-old yet, so I guess that’s good.” Or, “I’m just exhausted,” or, “Things are absolutely crazy – I am so stressed out!”Maybe that frazzled, haggard, bewildered mommy is someone you know. Maybe it’s you. I know I’ve been there. Here is my question to you today… are we bearing our blessings as burdens? Those babies that we dreamt of and prayed for, that we had so much fun choosing names for, that we counted the days to meet… are they burdens to us now? Those homes that we were ecstatic to move into… are they burdens now? That husband that we couldn’t live without, that we picked out the wedding dress for, that we cried and ached and waited by the phone for… is he a burden now? That job you needed, you wanted and prayed for, that provides food and clothing for your family… is it a burden now?Sometimes it seems to me like a mantle we as moms must carry. We must be tired, we must be stressed out; we must be harried and frazzled, we must be lucky just to make it through the day. Are we bearing our blessings as burdens? Are we tired? Absolutely. As moms, we know about the 2 a.m. feedings, the nightmares, the wet beds, the midnight curfews. Do things get a little stressful between PTA meetings, dance class, the T-ball game, and dinner on the table at 6? Sure they do. Are husbands always a joy when they get home from work? No way. Is scrubbing the potty, doing the laundry, and cleaning the high chair tray the greatest thrill we’ve ever known? Of course not.So how do we look past the burdens and see the blessings of our families and our homes? Do you know any women who would give anything to have a baby to nurse at 2 a.m.? Anyone who would love to have those clothes we are sick of washing, or that house we just can’t keep clean. Do you know any women whose husbands aren’t coming home?I challenge you to joy, to smile, to persevere. I challenge you to bear your burdens as blessings and watch as they multiply. And the next time someone asks you how you are, throw off that identity of stressed out, frazzled mommy, find your smile and answer, “I am blessed!”

October and Halloween Fun!

So I am finally posting about Halloween, sorry so long. Keith decided that we needed to dump everything off the computer and restart. So it took a while to get all the pictures back on here and learning how to use our new camera and picture program. Love it by the way. A good camera is so nice to have.

October was such a fun month with lots of fun Halloween things going on. We were invited to go to the pumpkin build off with our friends Adam and Tara. The whole deal is that you have to come up with something unique made with pumpkins...We went for the nostalgic factor and did a Light Bright Pumpkin!! We had a ton of fun, even though we didn't even come close to winning! Good job Adam and Tara. Thanks so much for the invite, we had a great time!

We also did new family pictures the weekend that we blessed Carsen, all of my family was able to come and we got these darling pictures of all the grand kids. SOOOO cute! We did a big combined birthday party for all the October birthdays in our family. I love my family!

We also went with our ward up to Bear Lake to stay at a cabin for the night before Halloween. We had a total blast and stayed up way to late playing games, but it was totally worth it!
Halloween we had so much fun dressing Carsen up, he was the cutest tootsie roll ever!! I think dressing him up and going around to our families was way more fun than actually dressing up ourselves! Carsen is growing so fast. He is so dang cute!!!! He has been smiling so much lately. I love it! I keep trying to get a picture of his huge smile, but he gets distracted by the camera. I'll have to keep trying. I feel so lucky to have him, he is such a sweet boy. Here is his first smile on camera, sorry it is a little late! (And some other pics from the month in no particular order...sorry I am still trying to figure out the program!)
