Easton's Baptism

I am about a week behind with my blogs, so last weekend, the weekend of the 10th and 11th we were able to drive over to Colorado with Miss and the kids for Easton's baptism and a big birthday party for all the October birthdays. We had so much fun. Friday was Maci's Birthday so we got to celebrate it with her by being in the car for 8 hours driving through a snow storm, but we still had fun. I had to work for part of the day on friday, so we didn't get to leave till later in the day. Typically we can make it in about 7 hours, but with the snow and crappy weather, it took us about 8 hours. Miss drove the entire way and did great, minus the scary ice spots on the bridges! :) I've added a few pics of us all getting a little stir crazy. When we all took a break to stretch, Brinsen and Maci got crowns from burger king and Korbin liked to sit in the steering wheel and pretend to drive! I was so impressed how well the kids did driving over to Colorado for the first time, I think they only asked if we were there like 50 or 60 times, they are a crack up! We got there just before 1 AM on Saturday morning.

Saturday was great! We got to play and hang out with the whole family, it is really great having everyone together! Later that afternoon, we drove to the stake center where Easton was getting baptized! He is the oldest and the first of the grandkids to be baptized, and is the such a sweet boy. I love seeing him grow up, he is so smart and such a great big brother! I am so proud of you Easton! It is amazing what you remember about your own baptizm and the feeling when you watch another. Those kids are so sweet and innocent and bring such a great spirit. I am so greatful for neices and nephews, they make me so happy when I get to be around them!

We did family pics after, which was great, because we haven't ever had a pic with everyone in it!
I wish I had pictures of the birthday party for all the October birthday's. Tiff had a cake for each person, so we ended up tasting about 7 or 8 cakes....I lost count! If anyone has a pic of it please send it to me and I will add it.

We drove home on Sunday afternoon and only hit a little snow. It was a quick trip, but it was totally worth it! I am so lucky to have such a great family! Thank you all for such a great weekend! Lots of love!

Here is the pic with the cakes I was talking about! Thanks for the picture Miss!

Our Anniversary!

Wow, I can't believe it has been 3 years. I feel so lucky to have such a wonderful husband! I don't know how it all fell into place 3 1/2 years ago, but I am thankful everyday that it did. As cliche' as it sounds, I am so happy to have married my best friend! Keith, I love you more every day! A big thanks to both our families and all our friends that have been such great examples on how great married life can be. We would not be where we are today with out all of you. Our anniversary, the 7th was on Tuesday this year, so we decided to celebrate it the weekend before. We wanted to do something fun and different, so we booked horseback riding up in Logan canyon. While were were looking around for someplace that did guided rides, we found the Beaver Creek Lodge that had a package deal with one nights stay, an hour horseback ride and breakfast. We were so excited.....until the crappy rain rolled in on Friday night and rained into Saturday and then it just kept raining. The plan was to go up Saturday afternoon for the horseback ride and then just check in after that. When the rain came that kinda put the kibosh on the ride, so we decided to go do some shopping for gifts and a new board game. We got a fun scrabble like game called Banana-grams. There was no table in the room, so we ended up playing on the floor....P.S. I won twice!! (Grandma Z would be proud!) We had so much fun and we saw some deer right by our cars that freaked me out! (I am secretly a little scared of deer and the dark, not a good mix in the woods!!) We woke up in the morning to snow on the tops of the mountains and clouds drooping down all over, it was really pretty, the pics don't quite do it justice. I am not ready for snow, but the fall colors are worth the cold. Next on the list is to try to find another occasion to go away for!
Us on the deck, right outside our room
This is Banana-grams!

Tagged!

I have never done the tagging thing, but I was tagged by Vanessa for one tag and Morgan for another so here goes....

P. S. Morgan's was supposed to be eight of everything, but I am just not that exciting, so I'm gonna cut it in half!

Six of my Quirks:

1. I can never sit through more than an hour of anything, unless I am stuck in the movie theater. I'm not really sure why this is, but I just seem to need to find something to do after about an hour. The funny thing is that I never noticed it till Keith decided to start timing me.

2. We have two sets of lights in our bathroom, and later at night and early in the morning I can't stand to have both of the lights on.....it's a real rude awakening when Keith will flip them both on right when I walk in there. He thinks I am crazy, I don't really have a good argument for it.

3. I like to clean and organize the fridge when I am stressed or just because. I just can't stand when I can't see what is in there.

4. My nose gets cold really easily and I'm not exactly sure when I started doing this, but I will always nuzzle into Keith's warm ear to help it warm up.... He just laughs at me.

5. I keep every card I get. I love cards and have boxes of them that I just can't get rid of because I like to look at them every now and then.

6. Every morning I get up, get showered, and get back into my pj's to get ready in, and then when I am finished getting ready I will put on my clothes for the day....I'm a creature of habit :)

4 TV shows I love to watch:

Car Camping!

Yep, that's right....I went camping! (at least my version of it) Last weekend we went up to the church campsites at Cinnamon Creek up by porcupine res. I promised Keith that we would go camping at least once this year. With everything being so busy it has been hard for us to find a free weekend. So we drove up there Friday night with Tiff and Whit, (we are so lucky to have such great friends up here!) We had so much fun. When we got up there and the camp hosts came up to us to tell us where the camping spot that we had been assigned was and that they provided the fire wood for us and that we could use the handcart they had there to carry the wood in. It was hilarious, we used it more for something fun to ride in and make the boys "drive" us around like a carriage ride! The campsite was really nice, the fall colors were beautiful and in the river that ran right next to the campsite had a whole bunch of salmon in it. You couldn't fish for them or even disturb them, but it was awesome to see them swimming up stream. The boys made a great smore's fire and Keith decided to roast his marshmallow on the log! (see pic) He cracks me up, he is totally in his element when there is a fire and something to stick in it! He keeps life so fun, I love him so much! After making ourselves sick on all the marshmallows and starbursts, we decided to pile all of us in the back of the subi to watch a movie, that was pretty interesting to say the least. I think we were all falling asleep sitting up, so we ended the movie early and all went to bed. Poor Tiff and Whit didn't sleep at all, they froze all night....note to self, bring lots of blankets next time! You guys are tough, I think I would have drove home in the middle of the night! The best thing about car camping is that in the morning you just throw everything in the back of the car and head out! It is my kind of clean up! No Bugs!!! I hope we get some more good weather and we can go again soon.

LotoJa and Jenny Lake

Our Guys are in the Simply Mac Jerseys!
Keith and I at Bar J....Yummy!

Jenny Lake...great pic Keith!

I am about two weeks behind on all of my pics and postings. Hopefully I can catch up soon, time just seems to be going so fast! Well...the second weekend in September is the annual LotoJa bike race. This is year #4 of being support crew, we have so much fun watching all the guys and look forward to that weekend all year. For those of you who do know, the LotoJa (low-ta-juh) is a road bike race that starts in Logan and goes to Jackson Hole Wy.It is 207 miles in one day! For the last four years we have watched my brother Nate, my brother-in-law Joel, and some other friends and family take on this amazing feat! Nate was not in it this year because he got to go on a cruise the next day! I think I would have done the cruise too!!! Luckily they just missed the hurricane! feeewww! I can't even describe how much fun it is watching and being support for these guys! Way to go boys!

In years past we drive up there on Saturday, and drive back down Sunday. So this year the idea was for it to feel a little more like a vacation. Keith was our official driver, he did awesome! This year we started out at about 7 am (in Miss and Joel's Tahoe with Missy, Brinsen, Maci and Korbin, Keith, myself and all the support crew stuff.....it was a really full car, but the kids were all so good, and Missy's organization with everything made it go really smooth) we left right after the race started and spent most of the day driving and stopping at the feed zones, then after Joel finished...9 hrs and some odd minutes later, 61st out of 1000 riders, we went to the Bar J ranch for dinner and watched the Bar J wranglers! It was a great day, and then we all went back to the hotel and crashed!

The next day we went up to Jenny Lake and took the ferry over to the other side of the lake and hiked up to the waterfall. It was so pretty! We had some caramel apples and found a great candy store the next day and then went home. Mom and Dad didn't get to come this year because of everything with the surgery, but we're getting ready for next year and when we can all be there. We had a blast, thanks for the great trip!

Cute Kids!

Ok, so I know I might be biased, but I am sure my nieces and nephews are the cutest kids EVER....they make life fun! I only wish I could see all of them more! Here we are at my big 25th b-day party! It was so fun and we missed all who couldn't come. I was excited to get to see the rest of the fam the next week....

We found out the Wednesday after my birthday that my dad was going to have heart surgery that Friday... He was very blessed to find out that he needed the surgery before anything bad happened, so he got to go fishing with all the grand kids on Thursday! He is such a great dad and grandpa, this picture says it all! Everything went well on Friday and both Dad and Mom are doing great! We love you guys!

La La

By the way, for those who don't get why it is la la land, it is because my nieces and nephews call me La La and it just kinda stuck. Those of you who know me, you know why it fits so well.....ha ha!
